Ambition: I would like to attend Michigan State University to study music or musical theater.

Hobbies: Sports (specifically soccer, softball and swimming), musical theater, reading, spending time with family and friends, shopping, playing anything outside, listening to music, watching movies/TV and computer games.

Other Accomplishments:

  • Have received straight A’s since kindergarten
  • My reading level consistently remains two grades levels ahead of my own.
  • Have starred in two musical theatre productions with Children’s Music Workshop (Hairspray) and Doug’s Kids on Stage (Camp Rock).
  • President of the Kidz Zone Before and After School YMCA program, and interviewed for and awarded the position of Mail Courier for the school.

Morgan Elizabeth Piontek is proud to be the Southwest Michigan’s Pre-Teen 2011. She is eager to begin her year of service in the community and to meet the people she represents.

She is the daughter of Jeff Piontek and Julie Piontek she lives in Benton Harbor. She has one sister Lindsey who is eight and was 1st Runner Up in Southwest Michigan’s Princess Program this year.

Morgan is a fourth grader at Lincoln Elementary School in St. Joseph. She is a dedicated,  hard working student whose favorite subjects are writing, math, and science. A very active person, Morgan also enjoys physical education class,

She also participates in several extra-curricular activities which include swimming, dancing, singing, acting, gymnastics and softball. She played competitive soccer for four years. In addition, she is involved with several local children’s musical theatre groups and is currently learning to play the guitar.

Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, bike riding, rollerblading, walking, listening to music, watching movies and reading.

Her platform interest is Animal Rights and Welfare. She intends to work with the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan to raise money for the care of abandoned and neglected pets and to find proper homes for them. She wants to raise awareness and to educate people about the proper care and humane treatment of animals.

Morgan is proud to call Southwest Michigan her home and she looks forward to serving and promoting her community in 2011.
